On January 22, Abuja, People‘s Daily (Xinhua) - On the 19th, the 2023 annual meeting of the Nigerian China Mining Federation was held at the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria. Ambassador Cui Jianchun attended and gave a concluding speech. More than 100 representatives, including Wang Yingqi from the Embassy‘s Business Office, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and representatives from the vice president and member units of the Federation, attended both online and offline.

Wu Dayang, President of the Nigerian China Mining Federation, Li Hui, First Executive Vice President, Hou Zhongying, Secretary General, Wang Weihuan, Vice President, and Chen Hailin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, delivered speeches successively. Everyone believes that since its establishment in the second half of last year, the Federation has done a lot of work under the correct guidance of the embassy, standardized work standards, improved institutional guidelines, eliminated many interferences and damages, greatly safeguarded the rights and image of Chinese mining enterprises, and enhanced understanding between enterprises. The relevant achievements were successfully showcased on the international stage of the 2023 China International Mining Conference and received high attention from domestic leaders at all levels. Representatives of the Federation of Enterprises stated that they will further tap into the potential of China Nepal mining cooperation and make new contributions to the country‘s development in the future.

Cui Jianchun stated that the Nigerian China Mining Federation has established a platform for industry autonomy and mutual assistance among Chinese mining enterprises in Nigeria, and has made fruitful achievements in mining technology services, legal and regulatory consultations, mining enterprise dispute resolution, and employee rights protection. Next, under the guidance of the China Nepal 5GIST growth and development progress strategy, the Federation will organize four professional committees to further clarify their responsibilities, fully play their roles, continuously enhance cohesion, continue to do practical and good things for members, and strive to make new and greater contributions to China Nepal mining cooperation.
