On April 9th, the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria held a special video conference on the safety work of Chinese enterprises in the forestry and mining industries in Nigeria. Leaders of embassies and consulates such as Ambassador to Nigeria Cui Jianchun and Consul General Chu Maoming, as well as leaders of Nigerian Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Business Capacity Promotion Association, Overseas Chinese Federation, Lagos Youth Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Jiangxi Federation of Commerce, etc. Leaders of enterprises such as China Turkey, China Land, Northern International, Weiyin Stone, China National Building Materials, Kenyang Mining, and Qianjin Mining, journalists from Nigerian Central Media, representatives of overseas Chinese More than 50 people, including consular assistance volunteers, attended the meeting.

Cui Jianchun stated that the Party and the government attach great importance to and care about the safety of citizens in Nepal and the development of overseas enterprises. The Chinese embassy and consulate in Nepal has always been steadfast in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of all enterprises and Chinese citizens. The recent situation indicates a significant increase in various risks and challenges in Nepal. Many of our forestry and mining enterprises are located in remote areas, making them vulnerable to attacks. Their production models are also prone to environmental pollution. Each enterprise should manage its stock well, plan its increment well, and plan its reserves well to promote sustainable development and better serve the overall situation of China Nepal friendship and domestic economic and social development.

Cui Jianchun stated that it is necessary to further strengthen prevention awareness, strengthen risk identification, strictly control the "six major risks", effectively consolidate safety responsibilities, and implement localized operation arrangements. We must comply with local laws and regulations, operate in compliance with the law, respect local customs and habits, protect the ecological environment, actively fulfill social responsibilities, give back to the local community, and establish a good image of Chinese enterprises. We should actively support the work of the General Chamber of Commerce, under the coordination of the Trade and Investment Promotion Office, the Security Operations Office, the Public Relations Office, etc., to help each other, unite and create an oasis environment for practical cooperation between China and Nepal, and play the harmonious music of China Nepal friendship.

Chu Maoming stated that all enterprises in Nepal should coordinate development and security, actively participate in the implementation of the "nine projects" of the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, and steadily promote pragmatic cooperation between China and Nepal on the premise of safety and legality. Representatives from relevant enterprises, chambers of commerce, and overseas Chinese groups in Nepal gave speeches on strengthening safety precautions and operating in accordance with the law and regulations under the current situation, stating that they will further strengthen safety capacity building, pay attention to compliance with laws and regulations, do a good job in environmental protection, and make every effort to ensure safety and seek development.
